Golf in the Winter in Northern Michigan? Believe it.

At Grand Traverse Resort & Spa there is no "off season" at our Winter Golf Center with indoor/outdoor practice, clinics and instruction.

The Winter Golf Center, located in the same building that houses the Jim McLean Golf School during warm weather months, is open from January until April, 2010. 

We invite you to come and get a lesson from 2008 PGA Professional National Champion Scott Hebert, our Head Golf Professional.  Our 2010 hours of operation and rates are posted below.

2010 Hours & Rates

January thru February 2010

  • Tuesday thru Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

March thru Mid-April 2010

  • Tuesday thru Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Practice Rates

  • ½ Hour: $10
  • ½ Hour (Juniors 17 years and under): $7

Practice Pass

  • Annual Pass: $150*
  • Monthly Pass: $75*
  • * $3 per ½ Hour of Practice.

Instruction Rates

  • ½ Hour: $40
  • 1 Hour: $70
  • (3) ½ Hour Sessions: $110
  • (3) 1 Hour Sessions: $180
  • Lesson a Week: $100 -- ½ Hour of instruction for 4 consecutive weeks.

2010 Clinic Schedule

  • 45 Minute Clinic: $20 -- Maximum 4:1 Student to Professional ratio.
  • Tuesday (Open): 4:15 - 5:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday (Beginners) 4:15 - 5:00 p.m.
  • Thursday (Ladies Only) 4:15 - 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday (Advanced) 4:15 - 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday (Juniors) 10:15 - 11:00 a.m.
