Grand Traverse Resort & Spa benefits from abundant snow provided by our location on the shores of Lake Michigan's East Grand Traverse Bay.   We offer a range of outdoor activities featuring cross-country skis, boots and poles with sizes for the entire family, plus snowshoes and ice skates, available at Adventure North Outfitters® in the Gallery of Shops.

The Resort offers up to two kilometers of cross-country skiing on property, and guests have access to 75 kilometers along the nearby Vasa Pathway,  plus a more challenging backcountry experience at the Sand Lakes Quiet Area. Grand Traverse Resort & Spa also offers an ice skating rink on property. Horse drawn sleigh rides are available at the nearby Hoxsie Farm and may be reserved by calling our Concierge Desk at 231-534-6430, plus there are nearly 200 miles of groomed snowmobile trails accessible from the Resort.
