Golf in the Winter in Northern Michigan?  Yes!

At Grand Traverse Resort & Spa there is no "off season" at our Winter Golf Center with indoor/outdoor practice, clinics and instruction.  The Winter Golf Center, located in the building that houses the Jim McLean Golf School during warm weather months, is open from November until the start of the golf season. 

Ideal for golfers who want to maintain their swing during the winter and for tune ups before golf getaways to warm weather destinations, the Winter Golf Center allows golfers to see the actual flight of their ball. Six-time Michigan Open Champion Scott Hebert, the Resort’s Head Golf Professional, offers instruction and clinics throughout the winter.

The facility has three heated indoor/outdoor hitting bays that open like a garage, so golfers are protected from the weather at their practice tees indoors while their golf balls fly to the practice range outdoors.

Tuesday thru Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sunday hours will be added as demand increases. 

Public rates are below. Junior rates and Club Member rates are also available upon request.

½ Hour: $6
1 Hour: $12
(5) ½ Hour Sessions (Punch Card): $25
Monthly Pass: $75
Season Pass: $150

1 Hour: $70
(3) ½ Hour Sessions: $110
3 Hours: $180
Lesson a Week (Monthly): $125
45 Minute Clinic: $20
Clinics are at a 4 to 1 maximum student to professional ratio.

2007-2008 Clinic Schedule
Thursday: Open Clinic 4:00 - 4:45 pm
Saturday: Junior Clinic 8:30 - 9:15 am
