Get hooked on the world of fly fishing while experiencing the finest in fresh cuisine through our exclusive "Blue Ribbon" Culinary Adventure package.

Taking you step-by-step from the classroom to a half-day of catch and release fishing on one of northern Michigan's most famous Blue Ribbon trout streams, our knowledgeable and courteous experts will guide you through the basics of pinpoint casting and spot-on line delivery. Under the watchful eye of local master angler and certified casting instructor, David McCool of McCool Outdoor, you'll learn to read the water and recognize fish habitat, basic stream-side entomology and more.

Be prepared for some serious fishing action. In fact, Traverse City was recently ranked as the #3 Best Fishing Town in America by Field & Stream Magazine.

After tangling with the legendary fish of northern Michigan, the entire class will finish the day in Aerie Restaurant & Lounge for an unparalleled culinary experience. Using only the region's finest fresh ingredients, nationally acclaimed Executive Chef, Ted Cizma, will provide a "Blue Ribbon" dish specifically designed to complement a perfect day on the water. This group dinner will feature a trout dish with a visit from the chef, where he will talk about the intricacies of cooking trout and what wines add to the flavor of the dish.
