MASSAGE
Massage is perhaps the oldest of all healing treatments. It’s an ideal way to reduce tension, improve circulation, eliminate muscle soreness and promote an overall feeling of well-being and relaxation. Please note that deep pressure, feeling pain or discomfort in a massge is not necessary to achieve optimal, healthy results.

Cherry Essence Massage
This is our Classic Relaxation Massage incorporating our signature blend of blissful Cherry-Jojoba oil. Light to medium pressure.

Cherry Honey Glow
A fresh mix of local cherry concentrate, honey and sugar is applied to the body, exfoliating and polishing the skin. Followed by a relaxing and rhythmic rinse under the Vichy shower. Finishing with the therapist massaging our cherry-hydrating lotion, leaving your skin feeling softer and younger.

Stress Relief Wrap
A customized blend of oil is massaged into the body, softening and relaxing the muscles and tissues. A layer of towels soaked in herbal tea is then placed on the body and wrapped in warm towels. This cocoon-like state allows the body to produce heat, open the pores, and allow the essential oils to enter the system while removing harmful toxins. A soothing scalp and face massage is performed while in the wrap allowing you to completely unwind. 45 minutes $95

Thermal Stamp Therapy 
Inspired by 14th century Thai therapy, this treatment combines massage and pressure point release. Unique fabric stamps filled with therapeutic clay, essential oils, tropical Asian Ginger and White Tea are first heated and then used on your body’s pressure points to relax and soothe tight muscles, providing the power to detoxify, exfoliate and de-tress. The natural earth clay draws out impurities while the other ingredients stimulate circulation, soothe your skin and rebalance your body. (Not available to pregnant women.)

Reservations | It is never too soon to make your spa appointments. Advance reservations are strongly recommended. Please contact us by phone at 1-888-437-2SPA or 231-534-6750.You may also visit Spa Grand Traverse to make reservations at your earliest convenience.

Gratuities | For your convenience, a spa service charge of 18% will automatically be added to all treatments and packages. Our spa staff is dedicated to exceeding your expectations and creating a memorable spa experience. You are welcome to leave additional gratuities at your discretion.

Arrival Time | Please arrive at least 20-30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This will allow sufficient time for you to change into Spa attire, have a soothing cup of tea and unwind in our relaxation area.

Shhhhh | We are a cell phone and pager free facility. To ensure a tranquil atmosphere for all guests, please turn off cell phones and pagers prior to your arrival. We are also a smoke free facility.

What if I am running late? | As our treatments are scheduled on the hour, if you arrive late for your appointment, your treatment time will be shortened accordingly. The full price of the treatment is applied.

Cancellation Policy | The Spa requires a 24-hour cancellation notice to avoid being charged the full price of your service.

Female or Male Therapist Requests | We try to accommodate all gender and therapist requests, however, we are unable to guarantee them. Each of our therapists is highly skilled, certified and trained in each service and in proper draping techniques to ensure satisfaction, privacy and comfort.

Attire | Wear whatever is comfortable.We will provide a robe and slippers for your visit. During treatments, our therapists are trained to drape you appropriately for privacy and comfort. For hydro or wet room treatments, you may bring your own bathing suit or use one of our disposable bathing suits.

Children | To ensure a relaxing time for you and all our spa guests, we ask that children be placed in childcare.  The Cub House, located directly across from the Spa is a state licensed facility and is sure to be an enjoyable experience for beloved youngsters. Babysitting services are also available through the Cub House, 231-534-6780.

Minors | The Spa is reserved for our guests 16 and up. Children under 16 are welcome only if receiving a service and are accompanied by a Guardian at all times.

Departure | Upon departure, please return your robe and locker key to the front desk when you go to check out.

Location | We are located on the lower-east level of Grand Traverse Resort & Spa. There is outside access from the Spa/Club parking lot at the East end of the building.

What if I am Pregnant? | A pregnant client needs to focus on what will make her body feel especially good during this special time of her life. We suggest avoiding treatments using deep pressure, hot stones, wraps and aromatherapy facials. All treatments for pregnant women can only be performed after the first trimester. Thermal Stamp Therapy is not available to pregnant women.
