Rent Snowmobiles

If you prefer your winter sports motorized, head to Blue Sky Rentals for snowmobile rentals. Northern Michigan is home to a vast network of snowmobile trails that can be accessed from most rental locations.

Explore the National Lakeshore

Park rangers say, “Let it snow!” so you can explore Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore on snowshoes this winter! In addition, guided snowshoe hikes will be offered as long as conditions permit. Check with the park for dates and hours. Park rangers will help participants learn about the park’s unique features and winter’s effect on them by exploring and discovering clues on-site.

There are also plenty of trails that you can explore with skis or snowshoes at your own pace. In addition, the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail is groomed all winter to provide a great surface for fat-tire biking, skiing, and cross-country skiing.
