With diverse topography and plentiful shorelines, Traverse City produces some of the most captivating sunrises and sunsets a person will ever see. These are watercolor scenes that will stop you in your tracks. We consider Traverse City the “Sunset Capital of the World,” so we thought it only fitting to offer an online photo contest that helped photographers showcase and share the best moments of a Traverse City sky. Introducing, the #GTRSunrisetoSunset21 Photo Contest.

Starting May 1, upload your best photo of a Grand Traverse area sunrise or sunset using the entry form below, and you’ll be automatically entered into the online judging. Or, post an image on your Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook page using #GTRSunrisetoSunset21. Each month through September 7, we will randomly choose a photo to win our monthly prize. The photo with the most overall votes by September 7, 2021 will win an amazing Grand Traverse Resort and Spa vacation package valued at $1,200!
