Welcome to NIIJII Restaurant, located off the main lobby at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. NIIJII offers an elevated casual dining experience with a wide variety of breakfast and dinner options to enjoy during your stay at the Resort.
Formerly known as Sweetwater American Bistro, the newly renovated NIIJII Restaurant provides a refreshing dining experience to all who visit. NIIJII Restaurant’s modern space and unique menu were designed with cultural touches celebrating the heritage of our owners, the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. NIIJII is the Anishinaabe spelling for "friend."

NIIJII Restaurant currently serves breakfast and dinner. We are open to both the public and Resort guests.
